Are you recently divorced, single, or by yourself this Valentine’s Day? If you were like me… this thought may be leaving you feeling lonely, sad, and distressed.
I know firsthand and from my clients, that this can be a tough time. The feeling of not having anyone to be with can be overwhelming. The truth and reality are that it doesn’t mean that you are any less of a person than you were before and it doesn’t mean that no one cares. On the contrary, you are a powerful woman who at this particular time may be going through a current phase/chapter in your life where new emotions and uncertainty scare you and attack your self-esteem. It is only a phase and being alone is perfectly okay. It need only be a temporary feeling as there is light at the end of the tunnel.
What I have learned is until you decide to be proactive in your approach and consider different perspectives of looking at the situation and looking within yourself, you will undoubtedly feel this sadness again and again. You have the power to change your thoughts, the way you feel about yourself, and your situation. And when you focus on this, you know you are enough and always will be. Your strength, that you possess, can overcome any negative emotions (of loneliness, anger, resentment, frustration, and doubt) and be used to focus on positive ways to meet new people, handle situations with ease and feel peace again to thrive. It starts with you taking the first step forward. Want to know how you can do this? Book a complimentary call with me to give you ideas and see if a coaching program is right for you.
In the meantime, try to enjoy yourself, be grateful for what you do have, and be with your friends for support. Embrace your newfound freedom and do something fun like go to a painting/ceramics class, line dancing, or movie. Find a meet-up group with singles or a hobby you enjoy. If you’re a single divorced woman in the Stuart, Florida area, join my Stuart Divorced Support for Women Meet-Up Group…time to get whole and thrive.
Happy Valentine’s Day to all and always seek to open your mind and be ready for any and all new possibilities that lay ahead!
You have the power to overcome anything!
